Microgravity:
We have researched a wide range of physical, chemical, and biological phenomena, including salt crystallization processes, which serve as a starting point for protein crystallization under microgravity conditions that cannot be observed under the influence of Earth’s gravity. Our research has provided us with a deep understanding of how biological systems respond and adapt to low-gravity environments, essential knowledge for both the health of astronauts on long-duration space missions and the development of innovative medical treatments on Earth. To carry out these studies, our company possesses proprietary technology that precisely recreates microgravity conditions.
Biotechnology:
Thanks to our research in microgravity, we discovered, through comparative studies between Drosophila melanogaster and humans, the existence of a small group of genes that regulate the development of glandular epithelial tumors. These findings motivated us to develop an DNA biochip on a screen-printed carbon monolayer, coated with a gold layer. Today, we have expanded our applications to various areas, including the detection of COVID-19, Human Papillomavirus (HPV), chronic myeloid leukemia, acute myocardial infarction, protein purification, and rare diseases related to hereditary metabolism.
